Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) Fellows' Reception

The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), UK organized a Fellows' reception dinner on Monday, November 17, 2025, starting at 7:00 pm at The Taj Deccan Hotel, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. This event served as an opportunity to meet Ms. Hilary White, Head of Membership Development at the Royal Society of Chemistry. Further, Mr. Gareth Davies, Member Experience Manager at the Royal Society of Chemistry, accompanied Ms. Hilary to meet and learn about the members' and fellows’ experiences and to share views and thoughts.

From the University of Hyderabad, the event was attended by Prof. Venugopal Rao Soma and Prof. Vaitheeswaran (associated with the School of Physics and DIA-CoE), Dr. S.C. Bhattacharya (Director, DIA-CoE), along with Prof. Y. Srinivasa Rao (associated with the School of Chemistry). It was an excellent opportunity to network with other members and fellows of the RSC Deccan section/chapter.

The section’s work was found to be impactful, and everyone expressed the wish that it continues to strengthen the RSC’s mission of building a vibrant chemical sciences community in the region. The meeting concluded after dinner with thanks from the hosts.
