This app helps students log experimental data while performing an experiment and instantly visualize the fitted straight line and important fitting parameters.
X-transform: Select a transformation for the X variable, such as scale, power, ln, log, or tan.
Y-transform: Select a transformation for the Y variable, including scale, power, ln, log, tan, or ln(max − Y).
X and Y: Enter the measured X and Y values sequentially.
Consider Point: Add the entered X–Y pair to the data and update the graph and calculations.
Fit Line: Show or hide the fitted straight line.
Remove Last: Remove the most recently entered data point.
Remove All: Clear all entered data points.
Data Metrics & Fit
Display the data metrics and fitted parameters, including N, Σx, Σx², Σy, Σxy, variance, Δ, slope (m), intercept (c), uncertainties in slope and intercept, R², and SSE.
Slope History
Display how the fitted slope changes as successive data points are added.
Light/Dark Mode: Switch between Light Mode and Dark Mode.
The transformations can be applied or removed during the experiment, and the graph and calculated results are updated automatically.
