Welcome to our research group! We work on Fundamental Science in the frontier areas of Statistical Mechanics and General Physics [Theory]. Our research methodology is analytical. The research topics of our interest are Quantum Statistical Mechanics, Ultra-cold Atoms, Bose-Einstein Condensation, Casimir Effect, Finite-size Effect, Magnetism, Quantum Scattering, Cavity Quantum Electrodynamics, etc.
My main objective is to analytically explore thermodynamic properties of cold and ultra-cold quantum systems.
I.M.Sc./M.Sc./Ph.D. (Physics) Courses Instructed at the University of Hyderabad:
1. Mr. Najirul Islam, Effects of multimode light-matter coupling on semiclassical and quantum Rabi oscillations of a two-level system, University of Hyderabad (2017-'22) [The student moved to TIFR Hyderabad for postdoctoral research after the completion of Ph.D. (Physics).]
2. Mr. Samir Das, Particle scattering by ultracold quantum gases of trapped atoms, University of Hyderabad (2017-'23) [The student moved to IIT-Kanpur for postdoctoral research after the completion of Ph.D. (Physics).]
3. Mr. Bikram Keshari Behera [Ph.D. (Physics) Student, University of Hyderabad (2023-Present)] is currently working with me.
4. Dr. Naresh Saha [IoE-Postdoctoral Fellow, School of Physics, University of Hyderabad (2023-'24)] worked with me on a theoretical problem of Pattern Formation. In December 2024, the fellow moved to Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mathematics.
